Hello, my name is Evelyn Sedelies, and I believe Acupuncture is changing the way you receive health care.
I have been a health care practitioner for over 20 years. I am a registered Acupuncturist in Alberta and a member of the College and Association of Acupuncturists in Alberta.
I work conscientiously with each one of my patients. I strive to achieve the best therapeutic results possible; often integrating Acupuncture with Chinese herbal medicine, nutrition therapy and lifestyle modifications.
Before commencing my career in Traditional Chinese Medicine-Acupuncture, I was a Professional Ski Patroller for many years in Alberta and New Zealand after moving to Canada from Australia. During those years, I also worked as an EMT-A throughout Alberta.
My personal injuries and professional experiences led me to natural and preventative healthcare through Traditional Chinese Medicine and Classical Acupuncture. I have great empathy for people living with pain and effectively treat sports injuries (including post-concussion) and any type of pain anywhere in the body.
After graduating from the Canadian Institute of Traditional Chinese Medicine in Calgary I moved to New Zealand for several years with my husband, where I practiced and we continued our enthusiasm for water sports, skiing and mountain biking.
During my time in New Zealand I discovered the passion and necessity to treat complicated diseases or conditions of unknown cause with clinical efficacy such as; Fibromyalgia, Chronic Fatigue, Irritable Bowl Syndrome, Headaches and Insomnia.
I also specialize in Prostatitis, a common condition affecting men of all ages. Prostatitis can be a frustrating condition that is not well understood and difficult to treat with Western medicine.
I treat many aspects of Women’s health and I am trained in advanced Cosmetic Acupuncture and Cosmetic Microneedling (collagen induction therapy). These non-invasive drug free treatments produce real long-lasting results.
